Images
Mag: 70X. Whole mount urogenital tract, ventral global view. Expression is present at the top aspect of the image in the adrenal medulla. Single cells migrating from the adrenal glands, around the metanephros, enter the rostral portion of the mesonephros. Single cells enter the metanephros and pelvis from the sympathoadrenal/preaortic celiac and mesenteric ganglia (bright area between metanephros). Streams of cells within the gonadal nerve extend from the sympathoadrenal precursors around the caudal portion of the metanephros toward the testis in chains. Transgene expressing cells are visible within the hypogastric nerve beginning on the dorsal side of the urogenital system and wraps laterally around the bladder. Expression in the testis is restricted to the primary sex cords. Intense clusters of cells within pelvic ganglia at the dorsal aspect of the bladder are faintly visible on the left side of the bladder. Expression in the genital tubercle is restricted to lines of cells adjacent to the caudal midline extending toward the distal tip where they encircle the forming glans. Single cell regional expression in the dorsal portion of the preputial swelling is evident.
