Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. 3rd-5th June 2010.
The annual meeting will facilitate an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas by providing investigators from various fields a unique opportunity to share their latest findings and hypotheses about sex differences. The interdisciplinary meeting will bring together researchers who share an interest in sex differences and who are unlikely to meet at other scientific conferences and meetings.
August/September 2010
- Society for Developmental Biology 69th Annual Meeting
Jointly with Japanese Society of Developmental Biologists
Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. 5th-9th August 2010.
Featruing speakers on the following areas of research: Organogenesis ▪ Regulatory Networks ▪ Spatiotemporal Control in Development ▪ Signaling in Regeneration ▪ Cellular Contact in Growth and Differentiation ▪ Generation of Asymmetry ▪ Integration of Signaling Systems ▪ Branching and Migration ▪ Evolution of Regulatory Traits
- Systems Biology: Networks
Wellcome Trust Conference Centre, Hinxton, UK. 11th-15th August 2010.
Building upon the strength of the previous annual CSHL/WT meetings on interactome networks held in Hinxton, UK (2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008) and the ORFeome meeting held in Boston, MA, USA (2000 through 2009), this conference will address the mapping and modeling of molecular interactions and networks in the cell. The cell is a highly organized system of interacting macromolecules and metabolites. Network Biology attempts to understand biology from the point-of-view of the global and local systems properties of molecular networks. The conference will address the structure, function and dynamics of a variety of cellular networks such as genetic, transcriptional, post-transcriptional gene regulatory, protein-protein interaction, signaling, and metabolic networks. A central theme of the meeting is to understand how network properties relate to phenotypes, including human disease.
- GRC Reproductive Tract Biology
Proctor Academy, Andover, NH, USA. 15th-20th August 2010.
The conference will be the 19th in a series of conferences that are usually held biannually since its inception in 1973. Presenting cutting-edge basic, translational, and clinical research on the formation, function, and pathology of the male and female reproductive organs across a wide spectrum of mammalian animal models (laboratory, livestock, and wild) and in humans. Lectures on frontier research in testicular and ovarian biology, sessions focussing on the testis, male reproductive tract (epididymis, prostate, external genitalia), ovary, oviduct, uterus, placenta, fetal-maternal interactions, and pathologies of the reproductive tract organs. This conference has traditionally had a very collegial atmosphere with numerous opportunities for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, providing a wonderful setting for scientists from different disciplines to discuss science and facilitate collaborations.
- 11th International Workshop on Developmental Nephrology
Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, New York, USA. 24th-27th August 2010.
The IWDN is an interdisciplinary meeting of pediatric nephrologists, developmental biologists and physiologists, cell biologists and geneticists to address new knowledge in the field of developmental disorders of the kidney.
